2024 Mission RBM

2024 Mission Focus: Red Bird Mission

Red Bird Mission (Beverly, KY) serves its local community through home repairs, food ministries, a medical clinic, pre-K – 12th Grade school, used clothing store and more. Serving the three most impoverished counties in Kentucky, Red Bird Mission needs to update its work van fleet in order to continue its mission.

First United Methodist Church – Brighton Campus has supported Red Bird Mission with work teams traveling to Kentucky since 2010. We’ve contributed to 36 home repairs. The need for additional help is greater than ever as their aging vans are no longer serviceable.

We’re leading the efforts in Michigan to help update their fleet with pre-owned work vans through monetary and in-kind donations. Your donations will help Red Bird Mission continue to respond to the needs of the community with resources, aid and love.

Monetary donations are encouraged online, by mail or the Sunday offering (please designate your gift to Red Bird Van).

You may donate a used vehicle (or if you know someone who may want to donate a used 12-passenger van). Contact Jeff Knop, jlknop@sbcglobal.net.
